The Local Police of Palma deploys a comprehensive operation against illegal street vending in s’Hort del Rei with the participation of twenty agents.
On July 4, 2025, the Local Police of Palma carried out a large-scale operation against illegal street vending in the area of s’Hort del Rei, involving twenty agents and various specialized units. Specifically, the operation included the collaboration of the Drone Unit, the Motorized Unit, the Immediate Intervention Unit (UII), the Community Proximity Team (ECOP), and agents from the eastern, western, and coastal districts. To support the operation, two vans were used, fully loaded with confiscated material, along with a vehicle from the Integral Security Unit (USEI).
The intervention focused on seizing a large quantity of products that were being sold irregularly, filling up to six full containers, demonstrating the magnitude and effectiveness of the operation. All confiscated items were subsequently transferred to the police warehouse for safekeeping and eventual destruction by Emaya.
This operation reaffirms the Local Police of Palma’s commitment to combating illegal street vending and protecting the city’s commerce, in accordance with the provisions of the Ordinance for the Promotion of Civic Coexistence in Palma.
