MÉS per Mallorca rinde homenaje a Angelina Pérez en la Fira de la Sabata

Representatives of the ecosovereignist party’s Executive Committee accompanied the outgoing mayor of Lloseta at the Fira de la Sabata.

MÉS per Mallorca paid tribute, this Sunday, to the outgoing mayor of Lloseta, Angelina Pérez.

In a press release, MÉS per Mallorca reported that, after 24 months at the helm of the Lloseta City Council, Angelina Pérez stepped down as mayor in compliance with the government pact signed at the beginning of the legislature with PSIB and Ara Sí.

Angelina Pérez will continue, however, to work as councilor for Finance, Tourism, Youth, Leisure, and Free Time in Lloseta.

For Pérez, «these have been 24 intense months, of hard work and with the intention of offering a change in the town of Lloseta, putting the common good above all else, with responsibility and effort to make a brave and transparent policy.»

The outgoing mayor highlighted the improvements achieved in basic services, the commitment and fight to ensure education for 0-3 year-olds and secondary education in the municipality. Additionally, she emphasized the revitalization of the town, carried out in collaboration with cultural, sports, and youth entities and associations, creating meeting spaces and facilitating their participation.

Pérez emphasized the «tireless» work of the municipal government team facing challenges «from the left, ecologism, and feminism, with unity and serenity.»

This past Wednesday, Angelina Pérez bid farewell to the presidency of the municipal council, stating that she is «proud to have exercised her role with honesty, a deep vocation for public service, and prioritizing the people above any partisan or personal interest.»

«Knowing that from now on, the girls of Lloseta will have female role models is a source of pride, after having been the first mayor of the municipality,» Pérez concluded.

Another source of satisfaction for the outgoing mayor is the «good state of health» of the government pact in Lloseta, responding to the collective and democratic commitment signed two years ago.

INAUGURATION OF THE FIRA DE LA SABATA

This Sunday, the Lloseta councilors inaugurated the Fira de la Sabata accompanied by the organizational secretary of MÉS per Mallorca, Maria Ramon, and the territorial secretary of the ecosovereignist party, Paula Maria Amengual.

According to Maria Ramon, «Angelina Pérez has been a catalyst in Lloseta politics, demonstrating a different way of doing things, and above all, she is the future of a group well-prepared to continue working for their town.»
