The Court of Guard of Palma has decreed a restraining order against a man of Bulgarian origin, regarding the airport and the woman victim of the alleged crime of sexual harassment and intimidation he is accused of.
According to a statement by the National Police on Tuesday, the arrest took place on Monday at the Palma airport when the victim went to the police facilities seeking refuge and to file a complaint because allegedly a man had tried to invade her personal space, intimidating her and making sexual advances, even spitting at her.
The officers of the National Police Investigation Group at the Airport Border Post proceeded to arrest the man – who worked at the airport for an airline.
CONTROLS OF THE NATIONAL POLICE
During the month of May and up to date, the National Police has carried out border controls on over 5,000 flights at Son Sant Joan Airport. In total, entry has been denied and two travelers from Bangladesh and Antigua and Barbuda have been extradited to the United Kingdom for not meeting the legal requirements for entry into Spain.
On the other hand, a total of 24 people have been arrested, 16 of them for document forgery, two for judicial claims, two for theft and fraud, one for embezzlement, one for harassment, one for assault, and the last one for violating a restraining order.
