Ports de les Illes Balears (PortsIB) has approved the start of the tender for the new contract for the conservation and maintenance of buildings, services, and facilities of the direct management ports of the islands of Mallorca, Menorca, and Ibiza.
The contract, which will be processed through an open procedure subject to harmonized regulation, has a budget of just over three million euros for the first two years (2025 and 2026), funded by PortsIB’s own resources, as indicated in a press release by the Conselleria del Mar y Ciclo del Agua.
This initiative aims to ensure the correct state of conservation and optimal performance of all port infrastructures and services.
It includes the drafting of maintenance plans, updating of the existing inventory, and the execution of conductive, preventive, predictive, normative, corrective, and modificative maintenance actions.
The contract is divided into three lots, one for each island. Thus, lot 1, corresponding to Mallorca, refers to the ports of Andratx, Sóller, Pollença, Cala Rajada, Cala Bona, Porto Cristo, Portocolom, Cala Figuera, Porto Petro, and Colònia de Sant Jordi. It also includes the secondary facilities of Sant Elm, Estellencs, Banyalbufar, Valldemossa, Sa Calobra, Formentor, Es Barcarés, S’Oberta, S’Estany des Coto, and S’Estanyol, as well as the central offices of PortsIB and the branches on Calle Cardenal Rossell in Palma.
Lot 2, for Menorca, includes the ports of Ciutadella (interior and exterior) and Fornells, while the third, for Ibiza, refers to the port of Sant Antoni de Portmany and the secondary facility of Santa Eulària des Riu.
With this action, PortsIB reinforces its commitment to efficient maintenance of port infrastructures and the provision of quality services throughout the island territory.
