Avícola Son Perot has shared that a routine analysis, conducted 10 days ago by an external laboratory, «did not detect any trace of salmonella» in the poultry farm in Llucmajor.

The company has responded to the news published in the media on Tuesday regarding the investigation into the possible presence of salmonellosis in shed 7 of its poultry farm in Llucmajor.
Explanation of the analysis
In a press release, the management of Avícola Son Perot explained that shed 7 of the farm, identified as the area inspected last Tuesday, May 27, by inspectors from the Govern and Seprona agents, underwent a routine analysis 10 days ago.
The analysis, carried out by an accredited external laboratory, «did not detect any trace of salmonella» according to the parameters of the national Salmonella control programs, the company clarified.

Furthermore, «for total safety, as is the usual practice with a sample under study since last Saturday, no eggs produced in shed 7 have been put up for sale,» the company communicated.
