El Parlament votará nuevo director general de IB3 en próximo pleno.

The next plenary session of the Parliament will host the election of the director general of IB3, following the resignation of Albert Salas, who has been in charge of the public entity until now.

PP and Vox agreed to propose Josep Codony as the new director general of the entity, a candidate who was rejected by the left-wing groups.

It is unlikely that Codony will be elected as the new director general in the first vote next Tuesday, which requires a majority of more than three-fifths of the members of the chamber.

Therefore, within a minimum period of one month, a second round will be called to decide on Codony’s candidacy, in which the absolute majority — held by PP and Vox — will be sufficient for the election.
